Notes
King Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) bids to annul his marriage to Katheriine of Aragon (Maria doyle Kennedy) in order to
marry the younger Annne Boleyn (Nathalie Dormer). His decision centres on one unshakable ambition; to father a son and heir
to the Tudor dynasty he inherited from his father. However, the choice in met by refusal from the newly elected Pope Paul III
(Peter O'Tool) and leads to a politic and theological battle that will change history. Taking on the Catholic Church, the King
launches a savage and bloody bid to be master of his own spiritual as well as secular destiny. The Tudors, seasons II, filled
with blood, lust and betrayal, will leave you breathless as King Henry VIII takes both his personnal and politic ambitions to new
heights.
